Katalyze is now Cyber Essentials and Cyber Essentials Plus accredited. That’s good news for us and it’s great news for businesses like yours too.
Trusted by our clients
Business analytics leaders trust us to build and operate key data platforms and data products for them. This accreditation is a recognition of our robust cyber security practices that underpin that trust.
The Cyber Essentials scheme is a UK government-backed framework supported by the NCSC (National Cyber Security Centre). It sets out five basic security controls that can protect organisations against 80% of common cyber-attacks.
There are two levels of certification: Cyber Essentials and Cyber Essentials Plus. The Cyber Essentials Plus certification involves a technical audit, which provides an extra level of reassurance for clients about the effectiveness of our controls.
Government and MOD approved
As tangible evidence of its value, the government requires all suppliers bidding for contracts involving the handling of certain sensitive and personal information to hold an up-to-date Cyber Essentials certificate.
By achieving Cyber Essentials Plus certification, we also meet the security requirements necessary to bid for MOD contracts. We’d like to think if it’s good enough for them, it might be good enough for you too!
Unpacking Cyber Essentials Plus
The scheme sets out following cyber security controls (If you’d like to know more about any of them, just follow the link for a comprehensive summary.):
Firewalls
Secure configuration
Access control
Malware protection
Security update management
Implementing and maintaining these controls helps organisations protect themselves from cyber-attacks, including phishing, ransomware and other malware.
Cyber Essentials and Cyber Essentials Plus provides extra reassurance for organisations that need a more in-depth audit of their security measures, have employees who work remotely, or allow third parties access to their premises or IT.
So what does it mean to clients like you? It lets you know we can prevent around 80% of cyber-attacks directed at your network, improve your supply chain security and help you prove to all your stakeholders that you’re committed to securing your data. Get in touch if you’d like to know more.
